Brief History of BPSC

The beginning of Bukidnon Plantation Service Cooperative began with the efforts and goodwill of 20 individuals who were supervisors of the previous employer prior to BPSC. Because of their existing and repetitive problems such as delayed salaries and unpaid remittances of the employees, they decided to find a solution—which led them to organize a cooperative to address the problem. Their decision made a great impact up to this day, changing many lives, especially those of the employees, their families, and the community.

Each of them contributed ₱1,000.00 as capital share to use as a startup. After their working hours in the field, they allocated their free time to organize the cooperative. Because of their dedication, countless efforts, faith in God, and goal to help the employees, they finally achieved what they aimed for.

On January 9, 2011, the Bukidnon Plantation Service Cooperative (BPSC) was officially registered as a cooperative providing manpower services located in Valencia, Bukidnon.

The BPSC grew from one client to many, from a few workers to thousands. From renting an apartment as an office, to owning its own land and building. Because of everyone's collaborative effort—especially the leadership shown by the Top Management headed by Mr. Leonardo B. Canda, General Manager, and the Board of Directors headed by Mr. Glyn A. Sereno, BOD Chairman—the cooperative continued to grow.

The BPSC is truly grateful to its member-owners and clients for providing employment to thousands of people, and especially to our Almighty God for all the provisions He has bestowed upon BPSC. It will continue to provide quality services to its clients and members as it has been a steward of God's blessings.
